The company produces, sells, and distributes Coca-Cola beverages and other drinks, serving a market of 65 million people across 14 states. Coca-Cola Consolidated operates in the southeastern, midwestern, and mid-Atlantic regions of the country, with 13 manufacturing facilities and 80 distribution and warehouse locations, with its corporate offices located in Charlotte.

The origins of the company trace back to 1902 when it was founded by J.B. Harrison, the great-grandfather of the current chairman. In 1973, the original company merged with other bottlers to create Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated. The company was incorporated in 1980, acquired Wometco in 1985, and purchased Sunbelt Coca-Cola in 1991. In 2018, Coca-Cola Consolidated announced a significant expansion into Kentucky.

Arcadia is a city and the county seat of DeSoto County, Florida, United States. According to the 2010 census, its population was 7,637, with an estimated increase to 7,722 by 2014. The city's Historic District is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. In the late 19th century, Arcadia served as the county seat for several areas that would later become separate counties. In 1921, legislation was passed designating Arcadia as the county seat of DeSoto County, which led to the formation of the present-day counties of Charlotte, Hardee, Glades, and Highlands.
