The Argonauts (Argonautai, meaning 'sailors of the Argo') were a group of heroes in Greek mythology who, in the period preceding the Trojan War (approximately 1300 BC), joined Jason on his journey to Colchis in search of the Golden Fleece. Their name is derived from their ship, the Argo, which was named after its creator, Argus. Occasionally, they were referred to as Minyans, named after an ancient tribe from that region.
A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
