Congoleum Corp. - Specimen Stock Certificate

Inv# SE3736   Specimen Stock
State(s): Delaware
Color: Blue and Black

Specimen Stock printed by American Bank Note Company. Rare! Headquarters: Mercerville-Hamilton Square, Hamilton Township, NJ. Established in 1886, Congoleum Nairn was acquired by Bath Industries, a prominent shipbuilding company, which subsequently rebranded it as Congoleum. Congoleum Corp. is recognized as one of the largest producers of resilient vinyl flooring products in the United States, catering to both commercial and residential sectors. The company's historical milestones include the launch of the first no-wax floor and the introduction of the first chemically embossed vinyl-sheet flooring. Despite a complex corporate evolution, the Congoleum name has consistently endured. In 1995, American Biltrite Inc. gained a controlling interest in Congoleum's voting shares, leading to its chairman and CEO also assuming the roles of chairman, president, and CEO of Congoleum. As a result, while Congoleum appeared to be an independent publicly traded entity, it effectively operated as a subsidiary of American Biltrite.
