Cudahy Packing Company was an American meat processing enterprise founded in 1887 under the name Armour-Cudahy Packing Company and later incorporated in Maine in 1915. In 1981, Bar-S Foods Company acquired the Cudahy meatpacking operations. The establishment of the Armour-Cudahy packing facility in Omaha, Nebraska, was initiated by Michael Cudahy with the support of Philip Danforth Armour. The company was rebranded as Cudahy Packing Company in 1890 when Cudahy purchased Armour's stake. Over the years, the company expanded its operations nationwide, including the establishment of a cleaning products facility in East Chicago, Indiana, in 1909. In 1911, the headquarters were moved from Omaha to Chicago.
