Delta Air Lines, Inc., commonly known as Delta, is a major U.S. airline and a legacy carrier headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. Together with its subsidiaries and regional affiliates, including Delta Connection, the airline operates more than 5,400 flights daily to 325 destinations in 52 countries across six continents. Delta is a founding member of the SkyTeam airline alliance and operates nine hubs, with Atlanta being the largest in terms of passenger volume and number of departures. Delta ranks as the second-largest airline in the world by scheduled passengers, revenue passenger-kilometers flown, and fleet size. It holds the 69th position on the Fortune 500 list, and its slogan is "Keep Climbing."
Delta's origins trace back to Huff Daland Dusters, Inc., the world's first aerial crop dusting operation, founded on March 2, 1925, in Macon, Georgia, and later moved to Monroe, Louisiana, in the summer of 1925. The company used the Huff-Daland Duster, the first true crop-dusting aircraft, to address the boll weevil infestation affecting cotton crops. Under the leadership of C.E. Woolman, who later became Delta's first CEO, a group of local investors purchased the company's assets, leading to the incorporation of Delta Air Service on December 3, 1928, named after the Mississippi Delta region.
Stock and Bond Specimens are made and usually retained by a printer as a record of the contract with a client, generally with manuscript contract notes such as the quantity printed. Specimens are sometimes produced for use by the printing company's sales team as examples of the firm’s products. These are usually marked "Specimen" and have no serial numbers.
