Specimen Stock printed by Security-Columbian Banknote Company. Harmon Elwood Kirby (January 27, 1934 – May 21, 2014) was a distinguished American diplomat who held the position of U.S. Ambassador to Togo. His appointment to this role occurred on October 22, 1990, and he concluded his service on July 16, 1994. Prior to his ambassadorship, Mr. Kirby worked as an executive assistant to the executive vice president of Hudson Pulp and Paper Corp. in New York City from 1960 to 1961, and he was involved in personnel and labor relations at Diamond National Corporation in Middletown, Ohio, from 1959 to 1960.
