Established in 1903, it stands as one of the two principal American motorcycle manufacturers that endured the Great Depression, alongside its historical competitor, Indian Motorcycles. The company has navigated various ownership structures, subsidiary relationships, economic downturns, fluctuations in product quality, and fierce global competition, ultimately emerging as one of the largest motorcycle manufacturers in the world and a brand recognized for its dedicated customer base.
