The company holds the trademarks and products of several well-known brands, including Kenner, Parker Brothers, and Milton Bradley. Incorporated in Rhode Island, as of August 2020, more than 80% of Hasbro's shares were owned by major financial institutions. Among its notable products are Transformers, G.I. Additionally, as of 2019, Hasbro serves as the parent company of the mass media and entertainment firm Entertainment One. The company was founded in 1923 by three Polish-Jewish brothers—Herman, Hillel, and Henry Hassenfeld—in Providence, Rhode Island, initially selling textile remnants. Over the following twenty years, the business diversified into the production of pencil cases and school supplies. Hassenfeld Brothers was incorporated in 1926, with Hillel departing for another textile venture while Henry assumed leadership of the corporation. They began manufacturing their own pencils when their supplier shifted focus to producing pencil cases.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
