Specimen Stock printed by Security-Columbian Banknote Company. Lone Star Industries, Inc. was established in Maine in 1919 under the name International Cement Corporation. In 1936, the company rebranded itself as Lone Star Cement Corporation. The Indiana division was launched around 1924. In 1969, Lone Star Cement relocated its state of incorporation to Delaware and, in 1971, adopted the name Lone Star Industries, Inc. In 1999, the company was acquired by the German cement firm Dyckerhoff, which itself was purchased by Buzzi Unicem S.p.A. of Casale Monferrato, Italy, in 2004. Currently, all properties previously owned by Lone Star Industries are managed by Buzzi Unicem USA.
