Specimen Bond printed by Security-Columbian Banknote Company. NCR Voyix Corporation, formerly recognized as NCR Corporation and National Cash Register, is an American enterprise specializing in software, consulting, and technology services, offering a range of professional services and electronic products. The company produces self-service kiosks, point-of-sale terminals, automated teller machines, check processing systems, and barcode scanners. Founded in Dayton, Ohio, in 1884, NCR evolved into a leading force in the cash register market, subsequently expanding into decryption machinery, computing machinery, and computers over the next century. By 1991, it ranked as the fifth-largest computer manufacturer. That same year, it was acquired by AT&T. Following a restructuring of AT&T in 1996, NCR was re-established as an independent entity on January 1, 1997, coinciding with the spin-off of Lucent Technologies. In June 2009, the company divested most of its properties in Dayton and relocated its headquarters to the Atlanta metropolitan area, specifically near Duluth. In early January 2018, the new NCR Global Headquarters was inaugurated in Midtown Atlanta, close to Technology Square and adjacent to the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Specimens are sometimes produced for use by the printing company's sales team as examples of the firm’s products. These are usually marked "Specimen" and have no serial numbers.
