Stock with graphics of screeching eagle by American Bank Note Company, New York and Boston. Great!! In 1899, the Blue River Gold Excavating Company commenced operations on the Blue River, located approximately two miles north of Breckenridge, utilizing two orange peel-type dredges. Unfortunately, these efforts proved unsuccessful. By the end of that year, the North American Gold Dredging Company constructed one Risdon and one Bucyrus dredge on the Swan River, subsequently dismantling the initial two dredges. Around 1901, the Bucyrus dredge was in operation on the Swan River near Breckenridge. This dredge, built by the North American Gold Dredging Company in 1899, marked the fourth such installation in the Breckenridge, Colorado region.

A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
