Specimen Stock printed by American Bank Note Company. Sinclair is a municipality situated in Carbon County, Wyoming, United States. Initially named Parco, the town derived its name from the Producers & Refiners Corporation (commonly referred to as PARCO), which established both the refinery and the associated company town. The name was changed to Sinclair following the acquisition of PARCO by Sinclair Consolidated Oil Corporation during the Great Depression. The original refinery, positioned just to the east of the town, continues to operate to this day. According to the 2010 census, Sinclair had a population of 433 residents.
