Specimen Stock printed by Security-Columbian Banknote Company. Texas Gas Transmission operates a natural gas pipeline that transports gas from the Gulf Coast of Louisiana through Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Kentucky, ultimately supplying gas to Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. The pipeline is owned by Boardwalk Pipelines and is designated with the FERC code 18. Established in 1948 through the merger of Memphis Natural Gas Company and Kentucky Natural Gas Corporation, Texas Gas has undergone four ownership changes since its inception. It was acquired by CSX Corporation in 1983, followed by Transco Energy Corp. in 1989, Williams in 1995, and Loews Corporation in 2003.
