"Laturn" Fantasy playing cards became very fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The beautiful designs of the Court Cards were not necessarily identifiable and in this deck the Jacks and the Queens are unrelated drawings. The Kings, however, are actual members of the Belgian Royal family. These cards are French style and the suit signs, instead of King Queen and Jack read Roi, Dame and Valet. Measures 10 1/2" x 15".
