The United States Playing Card Company (USPC), often referred to as USPCC, is a prominent American manufacturer and distributor of playing cards. It was originally founded in 1867 under the name Russell, Morgan & Co. and reestablished in its present form in 1885. The company boasts a diverse portfolio of brands, including Bicycle, Bee, Tally-Ho, Congress, Aviator, Aristocrat, Mohawk, Maverick, KEM, Hoyle, and Fournier. In addition to standard playing cards, it also creates novelty and custom card designs, along with various accessories such as poker chips. For many years, the company operated from Norwood, Ohio, but since 2009, its headquarters has been located in Erlanger, Kentucky, a suburb of Cincinnati.
In December 2019, USPC became a subsidiary of the Belgian card manufacturer Cartamundi. The company traces its origins back to Cincinnati in 1867, when it was established as Russell, Morgan & Co., initially focusing on the production of posters for traveling circuses. The name was derived from its founders, A. O. Russell and Robert J. Morgan, who, along with James M. Armstrong and John F. Robinson Jr., acquired the Enquirer Job Printing Rooms from The Cincinnati Enquirer. Among their early lithographic works were promotional materials for Edward Owings Towne's production, Other People's Money.
A stock certificate is issued by businesses, usually companies. A stock is part of the permanent finance of a business. Normally, they are never repaid, and the investor can recover his/her money only by selling to another investor. Most stocks, or also called shares, earn dividends, at the business's discretion, depending on how well it has traded. A stockholder or shareholder is a part-owner of the business that issued the stock certificates.
