Eastern German Methodist Church celebrates their 50th anniversary from 1841 to 1891. This bond was purchased by a 1st generation American whose parents, Gottfried and Christiana Knadler Stilz were immigrants to America and settled in Louiisville, KY and owned a farm and large home in the Crescent Hill area. Gottfried died in 1900 and was called the "Old Farmer" and known for his fresh vegetables that he bought downtown and sold. His son purchased this bond from their church.
